Mountain Girl at Heart • Animal Advocate • People Person by Nature • Your Guide on Both Sides of the State Line
For Lisa Kimberlin, real estate has always been about more than houses. It’s about the people who will fill them.
An Abingdon native, Lisa grew up surrounded by the mountains, communities, and way of life that make Southwest Virginia feel like home. She has always had an eye for houses—the little finishing details, the character that makes one property different from the next, and the possibilities hidden inside a space. Seven years ago, that love led her to real estate and the opportunity to help other people find a place that feels right for their lives.
Licensed in both Virginia and Tennessee, Lisa serves buyers and sellers throughout Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee. That reach gives her sellers the opportunity for broader exposure and gives her buyers the freedom to search on both sides of the state line.
But ask Lisa what matters most about the job, and it isn’t the transaction.
It’s the people.
She wants her clients to feel respected, listened to, and genuinely cared for from the first conversation to the closing table—and hopefully long after. She brings professionalism when it matters, humor when things get stressful, and the kind of personal attention that has a way of turning clients into lifelong friends.
And the moment that makes all of it worthwhile?
The smiles at closing.
When she isn’t helping someone make their next move, Lisa is usually enjoying life with her husband and family, listening to live music, heading to a concert, loving on Holly and Precious, or taking in the scenery from the back of a motorcycle. She even has her own motorcycle license and spent some time riding solo—although these days, she’s perfectly happy enjoying the ride from the passenger seat.
Her love for animals runs especially deep. After volunteering with a no-kill animal shelter, Lisa has continued supporting animal welfare in other ways—a reflection of the compassion that carries through both her personal life and her work.
For Lisa, there really is no place quite like home—and few places more beautiful to call it than the mountains of Southwest Virginia.
